TelePad is the user interface of the TVEvents system. It allows access to the Automatic Spot Recognition output and
displays any video content which has been digitalised by MultiGrabber.
TelePad is installed on the workstations of the TVEvents staff and accessed by all users with predefined
authorisation rights. It is designed to assist the user in building the TV monitoring report and deliver the results
in a format that is compatible with the end users analysis software.
To complete these tasks TelePad offers a variety of modules:
- ASR Log: A fundamental modules as it is the grid where the Automatic Spot Recognition records are
listed together with the statistics on the accuracy of the scanning and a preview of the used signatures.
Users of the ASR Log certify the accuracy of the automatically recognised spots and make any necessary adjustments.
- Shufflecast:Provides automatic detection of the national broadcast on regional channels of up to one second.
- The recognition algorithm permits the identification of time-shifted content comparing the regional broadcast against
the master national broadcast. The module recognises the content broadcast in its original sequence or in a different order from the master channel (shufflecast).
- The graphic interface offers a preview of national vs. regional content (local windows) in order to provide detailed regional logs.
- Visual Data Entry: Allows the user to complete the TVEvents report by adding unidentified events from
the automatic scanning process. It is used to enter program details (e.g. movies) and create the signatures for new spots.
- Quality Control: The production quality of the TVEvents database is guaranteed because of the quality
control rules determined and implemented by each local market. Should any errors appear in the final control
report, the database cannot be exported and the TVEvents team can easily identify the inconsistencies and make the
necessary amendments. This ensures that any TVEvents database delivered to the market is 100% accurate.
- Rate Attribution: Allows the user to assign prices to the events automatically or manually depending on the specific country rules.
- Export Functionality: Extremely customisable and permit the formatting of data to the specifications of any analysis software.
- Master Tables: Provides a highly configurable environment for tables such as programs, products and ratecards.
- Classification Trees: Programs and products can be classified and configured into trees, offering enormous
flexibility to meet a market’s specific requirements.
